Amusing tidbits in my dreams yesterday.
--
1st dream: Starting a bit macabrely, the first sequence had to do with a nuke going off at Athens. Am writing an lj post (or possibly an email) saying to my friends "Nah, I'm still alive, but because of all the radiation I expect to be dead in a couple days." Then there's a scene when I'm arguing with my mother on whether the windows should be kept closed -- I argue that there's radioactive dust outside, and so we should close them, she believes that's not an issue.
Then I see on TV a scene where Papandreou and Simitis get out of a presidential-style car and run into a government building, and comment something to the point of "see? instead of walking slowly, they run because they know it's not healthy to remain outside for long. Because of the radiation."
2nd Dream: On a lighter note, in this dream I am seemingly watching with my friends a movie adaptation of Terry Pratchett's "Thief of Time". There's a scene where Death battles with the cloaked Auditors, but the more he destroys with his scythe the more appear in their place.
ereglentia turns and ask me how they are ever going to defeat them, and I tell her that they (the good guys I meant) are gonna ally with someone who's more fundamentally opposed to the Auditors.
Cool that even in a dream I made my spoilers vague enough to keep up some interest in the story. :-)
3rd Dream was somehow connected to the previous one, but I only remember pieces of it. In a big auditorium, before an audience, a man uses some kind of magical dust to conjure a character out of thin air -- it's a cloaked woman with a nasty smile. (she would make a good Bellatrix Black btw, though in my dream she felt a bit more like Starwars-y and Dark Jedi-like). She speaks scornfully to the first man, and tells him something like that after years/centuries/millenia of confinement she had atleast expected a worthy enemy like *insert alien name with many consonants that I wouldn't have a chance in hell of remembering*, not an artist who only used the dust in question in order to conjure and draw science-fictional characters.

And btw I also went and saw "The Passion of the Christ" today... but it's kinda getting late over here, so probably some comments tomorrow...

Weird dreams though...
What did you have for dinner?...

Date: 2004-03-11 07:49 am (UTC)Not to mention that the cloaked Auditors of Pratchett are the closest thing possible to the Ringwraiths, and a similar question that ereglentia had once asked me, when she saw them surround the hobbits in FOTR a couple years ago.
And I don't usually have any dinner on weekdays... though I'm afraid I often end up snacking on something, which makes this sort of dieting rather useless. :-)
ahahaha
