This amused me: Hillary Clinton's path to victory
On other news, I'm getting back into interactive fiction -- past few weeks I've tried some of the best games that have come out (and I've therefore missed) the last few years, at least as judged by the results of the annual IF competition, the XYZZY awards and the Spring Thing.
Next few weeks I'll try to start again on a rather *big* idea for a work of interactive fiction that I've had for several years now.
Somewhere in between the two, I'll be writing a lengthy criticism/suggestion list for Inform 7, which despite its several flaws will almost certainly be used by me in aforesaid game, as it's pretty much the defacto replacement for Inform 6, which is the only IF language I'm familiar with.

Barack Obama's Victory
Date: 2008-06-04 01:56 pm (UTC)-------------------------------
Hi Aris, how are you? I was just wondering what your thoughts are on the U.S. election now that Barack Obama has secured the Democratic nomination. If I remember correctly you had once told me that Obama was your favourite candidate for the position of U.S. President, so perhaps congratulations are in order! It's probably going to be a very close race against John McCain however - the latest poll I heard of has both of them at 46 per cent!!! In any case, history has been made already with the first African-American to ever become a major party's nominee for President. From what I've been hearing there is also a possibility that Hillary Clinton is going to be Obama's running mate - it is a distinct possibility therefore that in January 2009 the United States of America is going to have its first ever female Vice-President! Exciting times that lie ahead indeed, aren't they? :-)
