Last time I write a long lj entry directly into the update form, rather than in the Notepad first. Lost all of it in a second when the submission failed. Tomorrow again.

Why not try one of the programs they've got for download that let you update lj? I'm using Semagic and it makes me very happy. I haven't lost any posts since I got it.

Mind you, I don't know how those'd work on a Greek computer, but hey--you're a programmer and they have the code up for grabs. You figure it out. ;)

I'd downloaded Semagic but hadn't bothered much with it... I don't update that often, after all.

But I posted my last entry using it. And the Greek computer-thing isn't a problem. Only thing that differs from a standard computer is that we use Alt+Shift to shift from Latin Alphabet to Greek Alphabet and vice-versa. And that's just a software thingy. Hardware-wise only diff is that some of the buttons on my keyboard have not just Latin but Greek letters as well, next to them. *g* "S" predictably well can be used for "Sigma", "D" for Delta and "G" for "Gamma". Though I always forget that "J" is used for "Ksi", and "C" for "Psi".

And I have no frigging idea why somebody thought that the Greek question mark, which looks like the English semicolon ";", should be spelled typing the button "Q". Why not let us type the English semicolon instead? But when typing in Greek, the button for the English semicolon is used for the Greek accent mark instead.

So, yeah, a bit bizarre-sounding typing-wise, but it wouldn't influence software like Semagic much.

Sorry for the essay! ;-)

I always ctrl-c my entries before I post. Some posts take me over an hour to type up, so it gets real frustrating when something like this happens.
